DineMap

Lay out the dining room, take bookings against real tables, run the floor.

DineMap

Most reservation tools treat a restaurant as a number of covers at a time. DineMap treats it as a room. You draw the floor as it really is, then bookings attach to actual tables rather than to an abstract capacity.

During service the same map becomes the board: confirmed, seated, done. Anyone glancing at it can see the state of the room without asking, which is the whole point during the two hours when nobody has time to ask.

Building it meant a drag-and-drop plan editor that a manager can use without training, and a live view that several staff can watch at once and always agree on.

What this one demonstrates

A visual editor plus a live operational board — the two hardest interface problems in hospitality software.
